We will be demonstrating our Freescale i.MX 6.0 based Android 4.2.2 IVI system. We have customized various default Android features to suit the vehicle environment

This IVI system is loaded with in-house & 3rd party apps like communication apps (browser, hands-free telephony, social media apps etc), multimedia apps (media players, mobile interface, audio, video & speech) & navigation based apps (GPS tracking, Fuel station app, Google maps etc)

We will also be demonstrating our reusable software stack and boot loader, which is in compliance with SAE J1939 standard. It is implemented in ANSI-C and is independent of the CAN controller, CPU and operating system

It can be readily adapted for any automotive control unit and tooling applications. We have integrated this stack in Freescale’s i.MX 6.0 based Android IVI system & in an Electronic power steering system to fetch vehicle parameters for diagnostic purposes.

Additionally, Embitel also has reusable UDS (ISO14229), KWP2000(ISO14230), OBD (ISO15031), TP (ISO15765) and LIN stacks, boot loaders and Fault code memory implementations readily available for Freescale platforms

Magento Ecommerce event 2014

Embitel participated in Magento’s premier ecommerce event, Imagine 2014 which took place at the Hard Rock Hotel & casino, Las Vegas from May 12th – 14th, 2014.

Imagine is a global ecommerce conference event that brings together merchants, vendors, partners and developers to discuss and exchange new ideas while creating opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Key announcements specific to Magento at Imagine 2014 include that a packaged beta release for Magento will be available by December 2014. Magento now powers over 240,000 online stores which is roughly 30% of the top 1 million transacting websites as ranked by Alexa.

It was a fantastic opportunity for us to network with other enthusiasts in the ecommerce space and we look forward to new partnerships and engagements.
